ZENCO’S MOTHER’S BURIAL: A BILLION-NAIRA FUNERAL THAT SHOOK THE EAST!
When a blogggr said that the tent and the entire decor at Zenco mother’s burial cost him a whopping #525mllion, I doubted it. But when I heard that every item used inside the tent is brand new and imported for the sole purpose of this burial, then I have no reason to continue doubting it.
No wonder Cubana chiefpriest gave Zenco 46 cows for his mother’s funeral ceremony after carefully thinking through on what to give this man to impress him.
Every rich man that attended this funeral was completely dwarfed and unrecognized. If you are not a cerebrity, despite the billions in your account, nobody would recognize you unless a person that knows you personally.
Spraying 500 Naira notes here was an insult to yourself. 1000 Naira notes were manageable but it must be in wraps or bundles. Only dollar bills were weighty enough to cause people to look at you twice.
Majority of Igbo people still maintained that Obi Cubana mother’s burial has no comparison yet. But what happened at Zenco mother’s burial is amazing.
Zenco mother’s burial is costlier than Obi Cubana mother’s burial. Obi Cubana didnt spend up to #100milliin on decoration. But both funeral ceremonies were a gathering of young millionaires and few billionaires.
If you are wailing that Zenco spent over a billion Naira in his mother’s funeral, please stop it. He celebrated his mother when she was alive and also did same at her déâth. He is free to spend his fortune in his mother’s funeral.
Huge amount of money were redistributed during this funeral. Some people became millionsires during the cause of this burial. So he wasted no money. Instead, he enriched people who rendered one service or the other in this funeral ceremony.
The reason why we clamor for peace and security of lives in Southeast is so that Igbo people would stop organizing marriage ceremonies including funerals in the city. Funerals and marriage ceremonies is beneficial to village economies. So the villagers are at lost when it is shifted to the cities due to one reason or the other.
We thank God for the peaceful funeral ceremony of Zenco mother’s burial. The burial lasted for three days and witnessed the presence of Davido, Flavor, Anyidons,etc.
