Bianca Ojukwu recommends “Biancamycin tablets” as she reacts to trending video of Ebele Obiano engaged in heated argument with a passenger on US flight
Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has stirred up a fresh wave of public interest following her reaction to a trending video of Ebele Obiano, the immediate former First Lady of Anambra State, engaged in a heated argument with a passenger aboard a US flight. The incident, which has garnered significant attention online, shows Ebele Obiano involved in a verbal exchange with a male passenger on a flight originating from Houston, Texas. The confrontation became a point of focus due to its public nature, as the former first lady was seen standing in the aisle and arguing passionately with the male passenger, who seemed to be upset with her presence in the aisle and reportedly asked her to “get out”
The altercation has sparked an outpouring of reactions from many observers, and one of the most notable responses came from Bianca Ojukwu herself. In a move that quickly gained traction on social media, Bianca reposted the video of the argument to her Instagram account, adding a sharply worded comment in her caption. In her message, she recommended the use of “Biancamycin tablets” for all flights departing from Houston, suggesting that some individuals “can never change,” a comment that many perceived as a subtle dig at Ebele Obiano. Bianca’s playful yet pointed recommendation was likely aimed at the manner in which Ebele handled the confrontation, which some viewers may have found unbecoming of a former first lady.
Bianca’s reaction to the video adds to the already intense public discourse surrounding her relationship with Ebele Obiano, especially given the infamous altercation that took place in 2022 during the inauguration ceremony of Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State. The 2022 incident, which also involved a physical confrontation between the two women, has remained a source of public intrigue and controversy, further fueling the rivalry between them.
To fully understand the dynamics between Bianca Ojukwu and Ebele Obiano, it is important to revisit the 2022 incident that became a flashpoint in their public dispute. During the inauguration of Governor Charles Soludo, which took place in March 2022, Bianca and Ebele found themselves in a tense interaction that quickly escalated into a physical altercation. A viral video captured the moment when Ebele, seemingly without warning, approached Bianca’s seat and made an aggressive move towards her, touching her headtie in what appeared to be an attempt to provoke her.
Bianca, who had been seated, stood up in response, and in an act of self-defense, delivered a sharp slap to Ebele’s face. The incident caused a commotion in the hall, with many witnesses scrambling to make sense of what had transpired. Bianca later provided her version of events, explaining that she had been the target of an unwarranted verbal attack from Ebele. According to Bianca, the former first lady taunted her with aggressive words, raising her voice and using inappropriate language in an effort to provoke a confrontation.
Bianca went on to reveal that Ebele had placed her hands on Bianca’s shoulders multiple times, despite her requests for her to stop. The tension continued to build, with Ebele even attempting to touch Bianca’s headtie, a highly personal and symbolic piece of her attire. This final action led to Bianca defending herself by slapping Ebele and subsequently pulling off her wig in a brief struggle. The altercation, which was captured on camera, was a stunning and unexpected display of physicality between two prominent figures in Anambra State politics.
In her explanation of the events, Bianca described feeling stunned by the situation and noted the apparent influence of alcohol on Ebele’s behavior. She remarked on the strong smell of whiskey on Ebele’s breath, which was especially jarring given the early hour of the event. Bianca further questioned how the former first lady could have been so intoxicated at such a time, particularly given her position as a public figure.
Despite the altercation, Bianca insisted that she remained composed and dignified throughout the remainder of the event, choosing to stay for the ceremony and leave with her reputation intact. In the aftermath of the incident, Bianca made it clear that she had no intention of engaging in further conflict, choosing instead to focus on her own dignity and the importance of her late husband’s legacy.
Bianca Ojukwu is no stranger to public scrutiny, and her comments and actions often garner widespread attention. As the widow of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the iconic Biafran leader, Bianca has maintained a strong public presence over the years. Her role as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs further positions her as a significant political figure in Nigeria, giving her statements and actions a certain level of weight in the public sphere.
However, Bianca has also faced her share of controversy, particularly in relation to her ongoing disputes with prominent figures in Anambra State. Her interactions with Ebele Obiano, which have now spanned multiple incidents, have drawn much media attention and public commentary. Despite the tension, Bianca has consistently portrayed herself as a defender of her dignity and her late husband’s legacy, often invoking the memory of Ojukwu to underscore her position in various disputes.
Her recent recommendation of “Biancamycin tablets” in the context of the argument on the flight can be seen as an extension of her public persona—blunt, unafraid to speak her mind, and willing to use humor to make her point. While her comment may have been intended to be playful, it also serves as a pointed reminder of the unresolved tensions between Bianca and Ebele Obiano, tensions that continue to spill over into the public eye.
Ebele Obiano, on the other hand, has largely kept a lower profile since her tenure as First Lady of Anambra State ended with the conclusion of her husband’s administration in 2022. Her involvement in the controversial argument on the US flight, however, has once again placed her in the public spotlight. The video of her altercation with the male passenger on the flight has sparked widespread debate, with many viewers questioning her conduct in the public space.
While some have defended Ebele, suggesting that her actions may have been provoked or that the video does not capture the full context of the situation, others have criticized her behavior as inappropriate, especially given her status as a former first lady. The incident has inevitably reignited public discussion about her past actions, including her relationship with Bianca Ojukwu and the infamous altercation during Soludo’s inauguration.
In a similar vein to Bianca, Ebele has often used social media to communicate with her supporters and share her perspective on various issues. However, the current video and the backlash it has generated present a different challenge for her public image. Unlike Bianca, who has embraced the opportunity to make light of the situation with her Instagram post, Ebele has yet to offer any formal response or explanation for the incident.
The tension between Bianca Ojukwu and Ebele Obiano is not merely a product of isolated incidents but rather reflects a deeper rivalry that has existed between them for some time. The root of their conflict can be traced to both personal and political differences, as well as the broader power dynamics at play within Anambra State politics. While both women are prominent figures in their own right, their rivalry has been marked by public confrontations and sharp words, often played out in the media and in social circles.
Their dispute has continued to unfold in the public eye, from the altercation during the Soludo inauguration to the more recent flight incident involving Ebele. These high-profile moments have only fueled the ongoing drama, with Bianca often emerging as the more outspoken of the two. Whether through social media comments or direct confrontations, Bianca has consistently demonstrated a willingness to defend her honor and respond to perceived slights, while Ebele has often remained more reserved in her public responses.
It remains to be seen whether the rivalry between the two women will escalate further or if their interactions will eventually settle down. In the meantime, both Bianca Ojukwu and Ebele Obiano continue to command attention and influence in Nigerian politics, with their personal dramas serving as an ongoing subplot to the larger political narrative in Anambra State.
The altercation involving Ebele Obiano on the flight and Bianca Ojukwu’s subsequent response highlights the significant role that public figures play in shaping perceptions of both themselves and the broader political landscape. In the case of Bianca and Ebele, their interactions have transcended personal disputes and have become a matter of public interest, sparking debates about decorum, conduct, and the ways in which public figures are expected to behave.
As social media continues to be a powerful platform for both positive and negative engagement, the way these women choose to handle their public personas will undoubtedly impact their legacies. Whether through humor, defiance, or silence, their actions will continue to resonate with their supporters and critics alike, leaving an indelible mark on Nigerian public life.

It will be recalled that Bianca slapped Ebele during the inauguration of Anambra state Governor, Charles Soludo in 2022.
In a viral video, Ebele had walked over to Bianca’s seat before hitting Bianca’s headtie. Bianca stood up and gave the former first lady a slap, leading to a commotion.
Giving insight into what transpired, Bianca said Mrs Obiano taunted and verbally attacked her.
“I didn’t pay any attention to her arrival. Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead, she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do, using unprintable, vile language,” Bianca explained.
“She asked if I had come to celebrate their last day in office but I ignored her completely. Then she kept on aggressively putting her hand on my shoulders and shouting. While I ignored her verbal onslaught as advised by people sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrain from touching me with her hands
“She proceeded to do so yet again and tried to touch my head and remove my headtie. It was at this point I stood up to defend myself and gave her a dirty slap to stop her from attacking me. As she made towards me, I then pulled away her wig, she then held on to her wig with her two hands and tried to take the wig away from me.
“The former APGA chairman, Umeh, told her to leave me and told everyone to leave. I was stunned by the stench of whisky in her breath at such an early hour of the day. How could the first lady be so drunk at that time? I stayed back to watch the ceremony till the end and left with my dignity intact.”
