APC Stakeholders Meeting In Awka: Ukachukwu And Ekwunife Rally Party Leaders For Anambra 2025
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra held a pivotal stakeholders meeting over the weekend, at the party’s secretariat in Awka, where governorship candidate Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu(Ikukuoma) and his running mate, Sen Dr. Uche Ekwunife, galvanized party leaders to mobilize grassroots support ahead of the November 8, 2025, Anambra governorship election.
Addressing a gathering of party stakeholders and leaders, Ukachukwu delivered a compelling call to action, urging them to spread a message of hope and renewal to every corner of Anambra State. He emphasized the APC’s vision for transformative governance, focusing on key priorities: enhanced security, industrialization, and an agricultural revolution to drive economic growth and prosperity. Ukachukwu stressed the importance of grassroots engagement, encouraging leaders to connect directly with the communities to build trust and rally support for the party’s agenda.
Ukachukwu told the gathering to ensure that Mr President’s message of “Go and get me Anambra” sinks among party members at the grassroot, in order to ensure total victory for the party come November.

During the meeting, Ukachukwu formally introduced his running mate, Senator Dr. Uche Ekwunife, to the party faithful. He praised her as a seasoned politician and grassroots mobilizer, describing her as a vital partner in their quest to deliver Anambra to the APC. The introduction underscored the party’s confidence in the duo’s ability to challenge the incumbent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government led by Governor Charles Soludo.
In her remarks, Senator Ekwunife expressed gratitude to Ukachukwu and the APC leadership for the confidence reposed in her. She pledged to work tirelessly alongside Ukachukwu to secure the party’s mandate and deliver on their promises to the people of Anambra. “I am deeply honored by this opportunity and the trust placed in me,” Ekwunife said. “Together with Prince Ukachukwu, we will work to bring about the change Anambra deserves rooted in security, industrial growth, and agricultural transformation.”
The meeting, attended by prominent APC figures, including state and local party leaders, was marked by a renewed sense of unity and purpose. It follows President Bola Tinubu’s recent endorsement of Ukachukwu and Ekwunife, where he presented them with the APC flag at Aso Rock Villa, signaling the party’s full backing. Tinubu had urged the duo to “go and get me Anambra,” a charge Ukachukwu reiterated as a rallying cry for party members to unite and deliver victory.
Many stakeholders and party leaders who spoke at the event pledged total commitment to the Ikukuoma-Iyom Mandate and promised to deliver in their own capacities.
The APC’s campaign is gaining momentum, with Ukachukwu’s ongoing consultations with stakeholders, including captains of industry, youths, and women’s groups, reflecting a broad-based strategy to challenge APGA’s dominance. Party leaders expressed optimism about the Ukachukwu-Ekwunife ticket, citing their combined experience and grassroots appeal as key strengths in the upcoming election.
As the November 8 election approaches, the APC is intensifying efforts to counter narratives of an alliance with Governor Soludo’s APGA, with Ukachukwu firmly stating, “APC is Tinubu, and Tinubu is APC; there is no alliance with APGA.” The party’s focus on security, industrialization, and agricultural reform is expected to resonate with voters seeking tangible economic progress.
The stakeholders meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to mobilize Anambra’s electorate, with Ukachukwu and Ekwunife poised to lead a formidable campaign to bring the state into the APC fold.
