GOOD FRIDAY: YOU ARE SAVED TO SAVE OTHERS
A Message from Solution for Good Governance (SGG)
Ndi nke m, my beloved people, fellow citizens of Nigeria and people of faith across the world,
On this sacred and reflective day marked across nations and generations as Good Friday, I bring you a heartfelt message on behalf of the Solution for Good Governance (SGG). It is a message of faith, responsibility, and hope. A message that calls each of us to remember not just what Christ did for us on this day, but what we must do for one another in response.
Today is no ordinary Friday. It is the day the world stood still. The day when love conquered death. The day when divinity reached into the dust of humanity and pulled us back from the brink of eternal separation. And so, I say to you: Happy Good Friday — not because the crucifixion of Jesus was joyous, but because the outcome was glorious.
Let us begin with a sober reflection on the meaning of this day.

Think back to those moments in your life when your strength could no longer carry you. When your wallet was empty and your hope was on life support. When relationships failed, and your faith trembled. And still — God came through.
He provided for us in our seasons of lack. He gave us direction in times of confusion. When the darkness of sin clouded our vision, He sent His only begotten Son to redeem, restore, and revive us.
That is what today represents. Love in its highest form. Sacrifice at its deepest level. Hope in its most undiluted expression.
And that is why today is Good Friday — not because of what was done to Christ, but because of what was done for us.

Good Friday is not just a historical event. It is a present reality. It is not just a Christian commemoration — it is a human invitation. An invitation to look within, to check our hearts, our choices, and our commitments.
As we remember the betrayal in Gethsemane, the unjust trial, the mocking crown of thorns, and the crucifixion, let us be honest: these are not distant events. They are reminders of what happens when power is misused, when justice is ignored, and when truth is crucified.
Good Friday is a mirror. And in that mirror, we must see ourselves.

This day marks the completion of God’s great rescue mission for humanity. From the Garden of Eden to the Cross of Calvary, the plan was always redemption. And on Good Friday, that plan was finalized — not with silver or gold, but with blood.
It should have been a day of mourning. But instead, we rejoice. Why? Because death did not win. Because sin was defeated. Because love had the final word.
And now that we are saved, we are not saved to sit. We are saved to serve.

Let this truth echo in your heart:
“We are saved to save others.”
That is the whole message of today. Christ didn’t die so that we could be comfortable. He died so that we could become channels of grace, agents of transformation, beacons of hope to others.
If you have been blessed, you are to be a blessing.
If you have received mercy, you are to show mercy.
If God has lifted you, it is so you can lift others.
To withhold kindness when you have the power to give it is to mock God’s generosity in your life.
“To whom much is given, much is expected.” – Luke 12:48

In the spirit of Christ who gave everything for us, let us now begin to give something to others.
- If your neighbor is hungry, feed him.
- If a widow around you is crying, comfort her.
- If a child cannot go to school because of fees, and you can help, do not delay.
- If you see injustice and remain silent, you betray the Cross.
This is what it means to live out Good Friday. Not just in church. But in your street. In your home. In your office.
Let your life be someone’s answered prayer.

Jesus was the Servant-Leader. He washed the feet of His followers. He fed the hungry. He welcomed the outcast. He sacrificed Himself for the good of the people.
This, dear compatriots, is the model for true governance.
As the Solution for Good Governance (SGG), we believe leadership must go beyond promises. It must go beyond position. Leadership must be service-driven and people-oriented.
A nation like Nigeria cannot afford to have rulers — we need shepherds. Men and women who will bleed if it means healing the people. Leaders who love the people more than their personal gain.
Let Good Friday inspire our politicians to remember: Leadership is a cross, not a crown.
7. Nigeria: In Need of Redemption
Our dear country, Nigeria, is a land brimming with potential but bleeding from poor leadership, selfishness, tribalism, and disunity.
We’ve seen betrayals — not unlike Judas.
We’ve seen the innocent persecuted — not unlike Christ.
We’ve seen thieves freed while good men suffer — just like Barabbas and Jesus.
But Good Friday shows us that no betrayal can stop God’s purpose. No injustice can erase destiny. No crucifixion can cancel resurrection.
Nigeria shall rise. But we must be willing to die to selfishness, injustice, and indifference.

Don’t let this be just another religious day. Let it be a launchpad for action. Here are practical ways to apply this message:
- Visit a prison – offer words of hope.
- Donate blood – give life, as Christ gave His.
- Clean your community – stewardship is service.
- Mentor a youth – invest in the next generation.
- Forgive an enemy – that’s Christlike leadership.
Let your life preach louder than your lips. Let your actions be a Bible people can read.
To all our young people — the strength of our nation — remember this:
You are not too young to be light. You are not too small to be salt.
Christ was 33 when He was crucified. He did not wait until He was old to change the world. He moved with purpose, passion, and purity.
So rise. Lead in your communities. Think critically. Innovate boldly. Be honest in your dealings. Let your education be for transformation, not just certification.
To those whom God has blessed with wealth, wisdom, or political power, I say:
Your privilege is your platform to heal the land.
Do not build palaces while schools rot.
Do not drive luxury cars through slums of hungry children.
Do not hold church titles while your neighbor suffers.
You are saved to save. You are lifted to lift.
Christ died for all — not just for a tribe, or a language, or a party. His arms on the cross were stretched wide to welcome all.

Nigeria must do the same.
Let Igbo embrace Hausa. Let Fulani embrace Yoruba. Let Christian embrace Muslim.
We are one people. One nation. Under God.
And if we can live together in love, then we can build a Nigeria that generations yet unborn will thank us for.
Let every decision you make — in your family, business, career, or leadership — pass through the filter of the Cross.
- Does it glorify God?
- Does it bless others?
- Does it advance justice?
- Does it build peace?
If not, rethink it.
Because Christ died so that we may live rightly.
As we mark this Good Friday in 2025, let it not be the end of a seasonal reflection, but the beginning of a lifelong transformation.
Remember, you may be the only gospel someone ever hears. You may be the only act of kindness someone experiences. You may be the only hope a neighbor has.
And always remember:
“You are saved to save others.”
From all of us at Solution for Good Governance (SGG), we wish you a blessed, meaningful, and impactful Good Friday.
