Man Calls Out Blord Over Breach of Agreement on City of David Estate After Initial Payment

A man identified as Kingsley has raised an alarm, accusing the Blord Group of attempting to seize his money and reallocate his land to another person.

Kingsley provided evidence, including the agreement he signed with the Blord Group for a parcel of land in the City of David Estate. According to him, the agreement stipulated that the land would cost ₦15 million, with an initial deposit of ₦8.5 million and the balance of ₦6.5 million to be paid over six months. Kingsley claimed that he made the initial payment of ₦8.5 million as agreed, with supporting deposit slips as proof.

However, two days after making the payment, Kingsley alleged that the Blord Group began pressuring him to pay the entire ₦15 million immediately or have his money refunded. When he referred them to the terms of their agreement, they reportedly stated that their chairman urgently needed funds to complete the remaining road construction in the estate.

Kingsley said he managed to raise an additional ₦1.5 million, bringing his total payment to ₦10 million, but was still asked to pay the full ₦15 million. Frustrated by this, he demanded a refund of his ₦10 million, asserting that he could not make further payments. To his dismay, he was informed that it would take over six months to process the refund, and it would not be paid in full at once.

Kingsley also claimed that when he attempted to complain to Chairman Blord, he was told that he was not permitted to speak directly to him and could only communicate with the estate management team.

Meanwhile, VDM has reportedly instructed Blord to adhere to the original agreement, stating that Kingsley is not obligated to make further payments beyond what was stipulated in the signed contract. He, warned that Blord should be prepared to defend the agreement they signed with Kingsley in court.
