Chief Odili leads the charge! Anambra East gives Governor Soludo a thunderous welcome for his re-election bid!
Anambra East was thrown into a festival of joy today as an unprecedented crowd of supporters thronged the Otuocha Township Stadium to welcome Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo , CFR, during his campaign visit. The event witnessed a historic turnout, described by many as one of the largest political gatherings ever recorded in the local government area. The stadium and adjoining streets were packed with enthusiastic supporters waving APGA flags, chanting solidarity songs, and celebrating years of visible progress.
Anambra East stakeholders demonstrated remarkable confidence and appreciation by collectively presenting Governor Soludo with a N50 million cheque to support his second term, underscoring the deep trust in his leadership and development agenda, and reaffirming their total support for his re-election bid.”
Welcoming the governor, Chief Primus Odili (Okosisi Aguleri) described the day as a celebration of performance and transformation, not just politics. He praised Governor Soludo for rewriting the development story of Anambra East through landmark projects that have touched every sector of life in the area.
““Your Excellency,” Odili declared, “today the people of Anambra East have spoken with one voice, a voice of gratitude. Every town and community now has a story of progress to tell under your administration. You have transformed forgotten promises into tangible realities.” The cheering crowd roared in approval.
Okosisi Aguleri , highlighted the construction of the Enugwu Otu–Eziagulu Otu road, which he described as a “miracle corridor” that reconnected the riverine communities to opportunity. “Before you came, this road was a symbol of neglect and hardship. Today, it is a road of prosperity, trade, and hope. You have brought government to our doorstep,” Odili said.
The APGA chieftain also lauded Soludo for his investments in healthcare, particularly the Enugwu Otu General Hospital, which he said would end decades of medical neglect in the region. “This hospital is not just a building, it is a promise fulfilled, a lifeline for our mothers, children, and elders who for years risked their lives crossing the river for treatment,” he added.
Odili further commended the governor for his education reforms, the recruitment of new teachers, and the rehabilitation of rural schools, describing them as the foundation of Anambra’s future. “Your Excellency, your approach to governance combines intellect with compassion. You speak with data, act with vision, and deliver with integrity,” he said.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement as groups representing women, youths, farmers, and artisans took turns to express support for Soludo. Okosisi Political Movement Band entertained the crowd, while banners bearing the slogans “Solution Is Here” and “One Anambra, One Future” waved proudly across the stadium.
In his address, Governor Soludo thanked the people of Anambra East for the massive show of solidarity and the 50 million campaign donation, describing it as both humbling and inspiring.
“When I said no community would be left behind, I meant every word. What you see today, roads, hospitals, schools, and empowerment programmes, is only the beginning. Together, we will complete what we started,” the governor said to thunderous applause.

As the rally drew to a close, Chief Odili reaffirmed that Anambra East stands united behind Governor Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
“We will protect what we have seen and defend what we believe. Leadership is not about noise, it is about results. And Soludo has delivered results that speak louder than any slogan,” Odili said, as the crowd erupted into chants of “Solution! Solution!! Solution!!!”
