AKPABIO TO ANAMBRA APC: YOU WILL NOT WALK ALONE AND YOUR LABOUR WILL NOT BE IN VAIN

The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who introduced himself as Ndi Anambra’s in-law, began his remarks on a prayerful note, a gesture that moved the crowd to burst spontaneously into song.
Akpabio assured the teeming APC supporters that their efforts in this election would not be wasted. “You will not walk alone or in vain this time. Your votes will count and be protected,” he declared confidently.
He likened President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Jagaban nke anyi) to a mother hen, ever ready to shelter Ndi Igbo, including Anambra people, under his protective wings. According to him, this inclusive spirit inspired the creation of the South-East Development Commission. With an APC Governor in Anambra, Akpabio said, the State’s famed enterprising people would be even more empowered.
Reaffirming his personal bond with the State, the Senate President recalled the rare honour bestowed on him by the Centenarian Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu III, who during his 50th anniversary on the throne, conferred on him the Chieftaincy title “Omelora Nnewi.”
In a solemn moment, Akpabio offered prayers for the repose of the soul of his late colleague, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
